A Noveum Credit is a unified unit of compute that powers all LLM activities on the platform. 1 credit = 1 premium LLM scorer applied to 1 dataset item. Other activities burn credits at different rates: 25 credits per NovaSynth voice call minute, 10 credits per text conversation, and 3 credits per NovaPilot trace analyzed. Rule-based scorers always cost 0 credits.

The Free plan includes 2,500 credits per month: enough for approximately 100 minutes of voice agent testing, 250 text conversation tests, ~833 NovaPilot trace analyses, or 2,500 LLM eval scorer-items. No credit card required to sign up.

Monthly plan credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. However, add-on credit packs that you purchase separately never expire: they accumulate in your credit wallet and are spent after your monthly plan credits are exhausted.

By default, credit-consuming features are blocked when your balance reaches zero: you'll see a clear message in the UI and any API calls will return a 429 QUOTA_EXCEEDED error. You can buy an add-on credit pack instantly to continue, upgrade your plan, or (on paid plans) opt into overage billing at $0.008 per credit.

Yes! NovaSynth voice and text testing is available on every plan including Free. It is credit-gated, not plan-gated: meaning Free users get approximately 100 minutes of voice testing or 250 text conversations from their 2,500 monthly credits. When credits run out, you can buy an add-on pack or upgrade your plan.

NovaPilot recommendation reports are available on all plans including Free. It costs 3 credits per analyzed trace, so your monthly credit allowance determines how many traces you can analyze: approximately 833 on Free, 3,333 on Pro, and 8,333 on Growth.

Noveum includes 16 rule-based scorers (like Exact Match, BLEU, ROUGE, JSON Schema, Levenshtein) that run deterministically and cost 0 credits. The 40 premium LLM-based scorers (like relevance, coherence, safety, hallucination detection) use LLM calls and cost 1 credit per scorer per dataset item. Rule-based scorers are unlimited on all plans.

Yes. You can upgrade your plan immediately from the billing settings in your dashboard: new limits take effect instantly. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Annual plans can be upgraded at any time; downgrading an annual plan to a lower tier will be prorated.

Yes: paying annually saves you approximately 2 months (~17% off). For example, Pro is $690/year vs $828/year when paid monthly (save $138), Growth is $990/year vs $1,188/year (save $198), and Max is $1,990/year vs $2,388/year (save $398). The Free and Enterprise plans are not affected by billing cadence.

Overage is opt-in and disabled by default. When enabled, usage beyond your plan limits is charged at: $0.008 per credit (higher than any plan or add-on rate: it is a safety net, not a strategy), $1.00 per 100,000 additional spans, and $0.50 per GB-month of additional storage. The Free plan cannot enable overage: upgrade to a paid plan first. For consistent heavy usage, upgrading your plan will always be cheaper.

A trace is one complete request-response lifecycle through your AI application: for example, a single LLM call, one RAG pipeline execution, or one agent turn. Traces are captured automatically via the Noveum SDK or AI Gateway with minimal code changes. Multi-step agent workflows can contain many spans but count as one trace.

Enterprise plans offer unlimited credits and traces, custom data retention, dedicated infrastructure options (managed cloud, BYOC, on-premise, or Kubernetes/Helm), a dedicated Customer Success Manager, and SLA guarantees.
